Welcome to Nirvana Driving. By booking driving lessons or VicRoads driving test services with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure safety, compliance, and a smooth learning experience for all students.

1. Licence Requirements for Driving Lessons

All students must hold and present:

  • A valid Australian learner permit, or
  • A valid overseas driver licence

Failure to provide a valid licence upon request will result in:

  • Immediate cancellation of the lesson or test
  • No refund or rescheduling

2. Driving Lesson Safety Requirements

For all driving lessons and VicRoads driving tests:

  • Students must wear enclosed footwear
  • The following are not permitted:
    • Barefoot driving
    • Open shoes (sandals, slippers)
    • High heels

If safety requirements are not met, Nirvana Driving reserves the right to:

  • Refuse the lesson or test
  • Forfeit the session without refund

3. Driving Lesson Bookings & Availability

  • All bookings are subject to instructor availability
  • Students must confirm availability before booking a VicRoads driving test

If a test is booked without confirmation:

  • Any changes or rescheduling costs are the student’s responsibility

4. Attendance Policy (Melbourne Driving Lessons)

  • Students must be contactable before the lesson begins
  • If the student is not present:
    • The instructor will wait up to 15 minutes only
    • After 15 minutes, the lesson is forfeited

For VicRoads driving tests:

  • Arrive at least 10 minutes early
  • Keep your phone ON until meeting the instructor
  • Phone must be switched off during the test

5. VicRoads Driving Test Responsibility

Nirvana Driving does not book driving tests on behalf of students.

By sharing your test details, you confirm that:

  • You have personally booked your VicRoads test
  • All details (date, time, location) are correct

If:

  • The test is not booked, or
  • Incorrect details are provided

👉 The session will be cancelled with no refund

6. Required Documents for VicRoads Test

Students must bring all required documents, including:

  • VicRoads appointment confirmation
  • Hazard Perception Test (if applicable)
  • Logbook (if required)
  • Corrective eyewear (if required)
  • Overseas licence + supporting documents (if applicable)

If VicRoads rejects your test due to:

  • Missing documents
  • Not meeting requirements

👉 No refunds or discounts will be provided

7. Test Day Conditions

  • If VicRoads cancels or rejects the test for any reason:
    • The instructor session ends immediately
    • The test booking cannot be converted into a lesson

8. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Standard Driving Lessons

  • Minimum 24 hours notice required

VicRoads Driving Tests & Long Lessons (90+ mins)

  • Minimum 48 hours notice required

Notice must be given via:

Failure to provide sufficient notice:

  • Lesson/test will be forfeited without refund

9. Driving Lesson Packages (Melbourne Students)

  • Lessons can be rescheduled up to 2 times only (with proper notice)
  • Packages are:
    • Non-transferable between students
    • Non-transferable between instructors
    • Cannot be changed once started

Additional rules:

  • Cannot switch between manual and automatic within a package
  • Cannot change lesson location after starting
  • Validity: 3 months from purchase date

10. Refund Policy

  • $50 administration fee applies to package cancellations
  • Completed lessons are charged at:
    • $75 per hour
    • $110 per 90 minutes

Refund conditions:

  • Remaining balance will be refunded (if applicable)
  • Refunds are processed via bank transfer only
  • Requests must come from the original booking email
  • Refund requests via phone are not accepted

11. Driving Test Packages

If your package includes a VicRoads driving test:

  • The package is considered complete once the test is taken
  • Any unused lessons:
    • Are non-refundable
    • Intended only for test preparation

12. Third-Party Bookings (NDIS / Agencies / Organisations)

  • A $100 cancellation fee applies if booking is withdrawn
  • After lessons begin:
    • Communication will be directly with the student only
    • Nirvana Driving does not manage 3-way communication

13. Communication Policy

For record-keeping and clarity:

  • All communication should be via email:

Important:

  • Phone calls are not recorded
  • Email communication is preferred for confirmations and disputes

14. General Terms

  • Nirvana Driving reserves the right to:
    • Refuse service for safety or legal reasons
  • All services comply with Victorian road laws and VicRoads requirements
  • Terms & Conditions may be updated without prior notice
